Hmmm, I'm not sure what the proper ettiquite is for beginning a blog. I've never had a blog before. Should I start by formally addressing someone, like in a letter or e-mail? If so, who do I address it to? (Dear Blog-reader...). Maybe its ok to just start with what you're going to say and forget the intro. Gosh, this is complicated!
My Proposal for ministry:
My proposal is a way to "give back" to NorthEast. I want to get information from Leslie Rowe/Laura Thomas (I'm not sure who the appropriate contact would be) about families or individuals at NorthEast who have submitted a recent prayer request and try to help them, through prayer and meeting the family's/individual's physical needs.
The group of students involved in this particular ministry would "adopt" a family for a week. (We could spend however long with that family/individual as we thought was needed, but for the sake of example, I'll call it a week.). We would pray for our adopted family on a daily basis and find ways to meet the needs of that family throughout the week. For example, we could bring the family dinners, offer to watch the children for an afternoon, help clean the family's house, pick up the children from school, etc.
