Updated service project

I talked to Leslie, and she says there aren't any major prayer requests that need tending right now, but she would get back to me if something came up.

SO, I started thinking about how I could serve the people in FOCUS. In a group our size, there are probably several pressing requests for our friends and families. Last week, Sarah asked my CORE if there were any prayer requests. I was astonished by how many people needed our prayers. There were several girls who had seriously ill relatives and friends. I want to start putting together cards and "care-packages" for those people, to let them know we are praying for them.

As far as interviews go, I think I'd like to talk to Leslie from Northeast. My reasons for choosing Leslie are:
1) I'd like to get to know her better since I hope to help in her ministry.
2) Everyone who talks about Leslie speaks very highly of her.
3) I need to talk to someone from Northeast, and I really don't know many people there.

Wow! I hadn't even thought about this type of service project, but it seems very rewarding! I'm excited for you! Welcome to the leader team =)

Leslie is awesome! Developing and maintaining a prayer request list for FOCUS might be awesome too. But I think those prayers should go beyond specific needs and be proactively asking God to make His will happen on our campus and beyond.

Hey, I was wondering if you might allow me to join you if you follow through with talking to Leslie. I'm in the same boat as you, not knowing too many people at Northeast, and I'm interested in helping you with your plans, if you'd like me to.
